Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant has helped lead USA Basketball to a perfect 3-0 record at the Paris Olympics. Returning from a calf injury in Team USA's Olympic opener against Serbia, Durant led all scorers with 21 points on just one missed shot.

Through three games, Durant ranks second on Team USA in scoring with a 16.0 points per game average. Durant trails Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards (16.7 PPG) for the team lead in that category.

While much of the discussion about Durant is focused on his scoring, the NBA star made history on Saturday with his rebounding, becoming the U.S. Men's Olympic Team all-time leading rebounder:

Team USA's 3-0 record and plus-64 point differential in the Group Phase clinched a top seed in the quarterfinals, which sends them from Lille to Paris in good form. Lille was the host city for for this opening round, which Durant spoke highly of after his history-making performance on Saturday.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Durant said per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post : "Lille was incredible to us. I loved being here. I’ve never been to this city and never thought I would come to a city like this. It was an incredible atmosphere. They showed us so much love."

Durant sent this message of appreciation to the city of Lille before he and Team USA head to Paris. Undefeated on the summer, this USA Basketball group has a chance to stay perfect en route to the gold medal they are favored to win.
