    Texarkana man used home kitchen to make crack cocaine, police say

    TEXARKANA, Texas ( KETK ) — Investigators have arrested a 40-year-old Texarkana man after a search warrant revealed that he was using his kitchen to make and package crack cocaine.

    Texarkana PD said their special investigations unit, DPS and Homeland Security served a search warrant at Kenneth Collins’ home in the 800 block of Jerome Street on Aug. 14.

    During the search, investigators reportedly found cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy and THC infused products in the living room where he had been sitting on the couch. Officials said there were six guns found in the living room and in the bedroom, three of which had been reported stolen.

    “In the kitchen, we found evidence that he had been making and packaging crack cocaine for later sale,” the Texarkana PD said.

    Collins was arrested for two counts of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of marijuana and theft of a firearm. He was released on Aug. 20 after posting bond.
