EYBL’s Peach Jam, arguably the top high school basketball event of the summer, is fully underway. Nike sponsored teams from around the country gathered in North Augusta, SC to play hoops all day long. Here are your top performers out of the games I watched.
On3 MVP: Five-Star Plus+ SF Tyran Stokes
Tyran Stokes is one of those dudes and he knows it. At 6-foot-7 and 225+ pounds, his athleticism is freaky. His strength and speed allows him to get to the rim with ease and he’s an underrated passer. His three point shot is continuing to improve, knocking in several today. The passing ability is an impressive aspect of the Louisville native’s game. Stokes is in the class of 2026, but has a very mature game.
2. Five-Star Plus+ SG Meleek Thomas
Meleek Thomas is an elite scoring guard with excellent change of pace. A very confident player. Thomas, a Five-Star Plus+ prospect, is an absolute bucket-getter. He played in front of Dan Hurley, Nate Oats, Bill Self, John Calipari and others today.
3. Five-Star Plus+ SF AJ Dybantsa
AJ Dybantsa is arguably the top prospect in all of high school basketball. At 6-foot-8, the Oakland Soldiers wing can do a little bit everything, and he makes it look easy. He’s shifty with the ball in his hands and can create his own shot. The upside is through the roof. Dybantsa has the entire country recruiting him, but he’s visited Auburn, BYU, and USC (old staff.)
4. Five-Star Plus PF+ Cameron Boozer
Cameron Boozer‘s middle name should be ‘consistency’. It’s not super flashy, but he is a dude that just gets things done. His game continues to expand as he gets more and more comfortable with the ball in his hands on the perimeter and with his three point shot. You can expect 20 and 10 from him each and every time he steps on the floor. Duke, Miami, Florida, and others are recruiting him.
5. 5-star SF Jalen Haralson
Jalen Haralson is a very versatile player at 6-foot-6. He can act as a point guard when needed and is a skilled passer. The Indiana native has a sturdy, college ready frame. He can heat up quickly and has established himself as one of the top scorers on the circuit. Haralson is being pursued by Indiana, Notre Dame, Auburn, Michigan State, and others.
6. 5-star SG Jasper Johnson
Jasper Johnson caught fire from deep in the early going. He was taking his shots confidently and they were falling. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is also a better passer than people give him credit for. Can also get to the cup. A lot of upside. Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina, and others are recruiting him.
7. 5-star PG Darius Acuff
Darius Acuff got off to a slow start, but made up for it as the game went on. The 6-foot-1 point guard from The Family was knocking down shots from deep and making some crisp passes. Acuff, a five-star recruit and Detroit native, had Arkansas’ John Calipari, Kansas’ Bill Self, and Michigan’s Dusty May watching him this morning. He’s nearing a decision and this appears to be shaping up to a battle between Kansas and Arkansas.
8. 4-star PF Chris Nwuli
Chris Nwuli is a junkyard dog type. He plays the game with an edge. A little underrated for a power forward at around the 6-6, 6-7 range, he makes up for it with his competitiveness and activity on the boards and putbacks. Also showed he can step out and knock down a shot from deep.
9. 4-star SG Dante Allen
Dante Allen is one of those dudes you want on your team. He plays with a high motor, strong and tough, more athletic than you think and has a knack for scoring the basketball. A winning type of player. He’s being pursued by Villanova, Notre Dame, and others.
10. 4-star PG Acaden Lewis
Acaden Lewis is incredibly crafty with the ball in his hands. A true leader, the 6-foot-3 point guard from Team Durant has excellent feel for the game and can also get a bucket when needed. He played in front of UConn’s Danny Hurley, Auburn’s Bruce Pearl, North Carolina’s Hubert Davis, Tennessee’s Rick Barnes, Syracuse’s Red Autry, Virginia’s Tony Bennett, Michigan’s Dusty May and a Kentucky and Duke assistant.
Additional standouts
Caleb Wilson has major long-term upside. The 6-foot-9 power forward continues to be productive and is playing with a toughness and a confidence about him. He’s really versatile and has gotten stronger this spring and summer. Arkansas’ John Calipari, Tennessee’ Rick Barnes, and several others watched him today.
Tyshawn Duncan had a breakout game today for LivOn (LA). The 6-8, 16-year-old is incredibly active around the rim. He’s an ultra competitor, can really protect the rim, and plays with a toughness. He’s a bit limited now offensively, but don’t be surprised to see him add several offers this weekend.
Trey McKenney has a strong and college ready body. The 6-4 shooting guard can get to his spots and really score it. Really strong feel for the game. McKenney played in front of Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, Georgetown’s Ed Cooley, Michigan’s Dusty May, USC’s Eric Musselman, Notre Dame’s Micah Shrewsberry, Oregon’s Dana Altman, Miami’s Jim Larranaga, and Rutgers’ Steve Pikiell.
Kendre Harrison is a man amongst boys. At 6-foot-6, and 250 pounds, the rising junior as difficult to stop around the rim. Very explosive. A top-recruit in football as well, Harrison would like to play both sports in college. North Carolina, NC State, and others watched him today.
Cole Cloer is coming off an injury but played very well. Standing at around 6-7, he’s a really good shooter. More athletic than you think. NC State’s Kevin Keatts, North Carolina’s Hubert Davis, and others watched him today.
Amari Evans had a strong performance today. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is a terrific defender, has toughness, and he’s taking his shot more confidently. He’s also aggressive getting downhill. Does a lot of winning things. A lot to like.
Tajh Ariza had a strong performance today. He’s still putting it all together, but its very apparent the upside is truly there. He can handle the ball when needed and showed he can score it in bunches. A high flyer.
