Large Black Bear Spotted Several Times This Week
A large bear has been spotted a few times this week on or near Big Woods Rd in Dickerson, west of Boyds and Germantown and north of Poolesville. Photo courtesy of @DMVentrepreneuer on instagram. There have been several bear sightings in Montgomery County this year, but they have slowed as most bears move west as we move into mid-summer.

168 Seasons Restaurant, featuring cuisine from Hong Kong, is now open at 316 N Washington St. in Rockville (photos by @YaoFomo). The new restaurant has taken over the location that was previously home to Xi’An Gourmet/Hot Pot for approximately five years. Xi’An has been listed as “temporarily closed” on Google, but 168 Seasons signage recently went up and the restaurant held its soft opening last week.

Thanks to Charles for the update from the Columbia Heights Taco Bell:. “I went in a month or two ago and noticed they didn’t have liquor behind the counter, beer in the store, and the digital checkout and app didn’t show alcohol. I mentioned it when picking up my food and the employee gave an exasperated “yeeeeah,” which suggests selling alcohol came with issues and they stopped doing it. I have been in a few times since and they haven’t had it.”
