Father of 5 Gebler enters Northfield mayoral race

Adam Gebler became the fifth candidate to file in the 2024 Northfield mayoral race. He filed May 29.

Gebler shared about why he’s running on his “Adam Gebler for Northfield MN Mayor 2024” Facebook page.

“My family raised me with the moral that if you see a need, and there is no one else to take that role, you have to step up and do it yourself.

“As a taxpayer with five kids, family budgeting is very important to my wife and myself. At the same time, having a strong community that is a good place for my kids to grow and develop and that I can grow old in is also a very important thing to me.

“I recognize that there is a need for a candidate who can prioritize projects that need to be done, that can work towards making sure our town grows and thrives, while making sure to do it in a fiscally responsible way and not putting an undue tax burden on our future generations. It’s an important compromise.

“I needed to make sure that, this November, Northfielders have that compromising voice and have the option to choose the middle ground.”
