Duke Men’s Basketball releases 2024-25 non-conference schedule

Ahead of a highly-anticipated season in Durham, Duke has officially announced their non-conference schedule.

The Blue Devils shared the 11-game slate, including Countdown to Craziness beforehand, in releases on social media on Thursday .

Some of these more marquee matchups had already been on schedule as part of the events they’re within. For example, Duke has been on to play Kentucky in the Champion’s Classic on November 12th, Kansas in the Vegas Showdown on November 26th, and Auburn in the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 4th. They’ve also had a return trip to Arizona set, which will be on November 22nd before remaining out west to play the Jayhawks, after they played last season in Cameron Indoor. The meeting with Seattle on November 29th was also on the slate.

The Blue Devils had just announced one of these games yesterday , though, with it being the final one against Illinois . They will take a break from conference play in late February when they meet the Fighting Illini on the 22nd. That matchup will be part of the SentinelOne Classic in Madison Square Garden.

Countdown to Craziness was also set at the end of last month for October 4th. It will be the unofficial tip-off and welcoming to the season for the Blue Devils inside Cameron.

Duke will play an exhibition after that against Lincoln on October 19th. From there, the remaining games include Maine on November 4th, Army on November 8th, Wofford on November 16th, Incarnate Word on December 10th, and George Mason on December 17th.

The ACC has yet to announce the official dates for this year’s conference schedule. However, they have shared which programs will face which opponents in 2024-2025. As for Duke, they’ll play North Carolina , Wake Forest , and Miami both home and away. They will host California , Florida State , NC State , Notre Dame , Pittsburgh , Stanford , and Virginia Tech at their gym only. They’ll then only meet Boston College , Clemson , Georgia Tech , Louisville , SMU , Syracuse , and Virginia on the road.

Again, this is a very hyped season coming in for Duke. That starts with the incoming freshman class , which is No. 1 in the nation per On3’s 2024 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings . Cooper Flagg , the top overall recruit , leads the group of six prospects that are Top-40 overall in 2024 .

From there, the Blue Devils return two key guards in the backcourt, Tyrese Proctor and Caleb Foster , as part of six returners. They also added four transfers from the portal this offseason.

After consecutive finishes of 27-9, Duke is very much looking forward to their third season under Jon Scheyer . They now know what the front half of it will look like with this latest from out of the program today.
