In the increasingly stressful landscape of modern day college football it's easy to get caught up in the comings and goings of key recruits. But Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin remains as unbothered as ever despite losing three recruits in the same day.

On Monday, Ole Miss saw three commits reopen their recruitment. A pair of 2025 four-star wide receivers in Jerome Myles and Dillon Alfred headline this trio. Myles is ranked as the No. 1 player in his home state of Utah while Alfred is the No. 1 wide receiver in Alabama.

Though surprising, the wide receiver position is not one to fret over as long as Kiffin remains at the helm. The man known as the Portal King consistently finds diamonds in the portal with skillsets to cater to his high-flying offensive approach. Recent examples include star wideouts Tre Harris and Antwane 'Juice' Wells.

The third player the Rebels lost was outside linebacker Corey Amos. The Louisiana native checks in as the nation's No. 40 EDGE in the 2025 cycle, per On3's Industry Rankings . While it's disappointing to lose a pass rusher, Amos is far from irreplaceable, especially on a roster with an overwhelming majority of upperclassmen serving as key contributors.

This news would throw plenty of other SEC fanbases in a tizzy, but not Ole Miss. Kiffin's confidence in his recruiting abilities comes from a high level of past success. He even went as far as quote tweeting Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen, a 2024 portal addition by way of the Florida Gators, with the hilarious line of "See ya on the flip side," in response to the mini exodus from the Rebels recruiting class.

Kiffin has transformed Ole Miss into a perennial contender due to his roster building strategies. As long as Kiffin is in charge in Oxford, Ole Miss fans won't ever bat an eye at losing out on a high school recruit. The portal rules in today's college football world and there is not better coach to help navigate it than the man known as Portal King.
