WICHITA — Kansas State basketball's alumni team is back at The Basketball Tournament, but under a new name. The hope is that Purple Reign will fare better than predecessor Purple & Black in the $1 million winner-take-all tournament now in its 11th year. TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A federal judge ruled in favor of a former Kansas Highway Patrol major seeking reinstatement. Mark Bruce sued Gov. Laura Kelly and Kansas Highway Patrol leadership after he claims he was forced to resign in 2019 over allegations he didn’t address misconduct within the agency.
