Arkansas Goat Festival scheduled for October 5th in Perryville
Organizers in Perry County have announced some of the details for this year's Arkansas Goat Festival. The family-friendly event returns to the Perryville City Park on Saturday, October 5th. Goats, goats in people costumes, people in goat costumes, goat parades, live music, the Camp Mitchell Kid Zone, local crafts and good food will all be a part of this year's festival. Approximately 140 Arkansas craft vendors and 22 food vendors are scheduled to be in attendance. MORRILTON, Ark. (KATV) — The Scuba School in Morrilton is helping veterans find balance in their lives as they try to adapt to their new lives after the service. For many, the water serves as an escape from the problems of the world and problems that they faced during their time at war.
Classes begin at UACCM with two big construction projects underway
Classes at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton are back in session. Students arrived for the first day of classes for the fall semester on Wednesday. They did so with two major construction projects underway on campus. A 45-foot commemorative clock tower is being built on the lawn in the middle of the campus and a new $16 million, 36,000 square-foot nursing and science center is being built on the south end of campus off University Boulevard. CHI St. Vincent Morrilton holds ribbon cutting for new helipad
CHI St. Vincent Morrilton celebrated the recent opening of the hospital's new helicopter landing pad with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday. The pad is located just outside the emergency department, which was relocated to the east wing of the hospital in 2014. Hospital Administrator Bubba Arnold says moving the helipad to that new location was made possible with funding allocated by the Conway County Quorum Court...
