SPORTS: Dogs fall to Conway in preseason benefit game
Junior Maddox Berry passed for 150 yards and two touchdowns and junior Keaton Robinson had a 61-yard touchdown run, but the Morrilton High School football team fell to Conway, 44-21, in two quarters of live action in a preseason benefit scrimmage on Tuesday night in Conway. Sophomore Champ McNabb and junior Jamarcus Sandidge were each on the receiving end of a scoring pass from Berry, and Robinson finished with 84 yards rushing on 12 carries. Tuesday is your first chance to see the 2024 Morrilton High School football team in live game action. The Devil Dogs play at Conway in a preseason benefit game. The Wampus Cats have been state semi-finalists each of the past four seasons in the state's largest classification, and they're considered one of the favorites to win it all this year after bringing in Arkansas Razorback commit Grayson Wilson from Central Arkansas Christian to play quarterback.
