Grant proceeds to benefit food bank
At the Monday, July 15, regular meeting of the Love County Board of Commissioners, the commissioners voted to use the proceeds of a $50,000 grant from the Southern Oklahoma Development Authority to benefit the county’s food bank. SODA had funding available to counties affected by disaster and that was made available to Love County through an Emergency Community REAP grant.
Outdoor events in Upstate canceled due to possible storms
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officials in Greenville said Thursday’s Downtown Alive concert has been canceled. The cancellation was announced around 2:30 p.m. due to the threat of storms. The City of Greer also canceled Thursday night’s Moonlight Movie due to inclement weather and the ground being wet.

Animal Cruelty Ordinance Passes with Amended Language
