PSU Soccer Camp hosts first Elite ID Camp

    Gorilla Soccer welcomes potential recruits

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The Pitt State Soccer program is still in its early stages as a program. On Sunday, 73 soccer players from all over the Midwest come to Pittsburg to part of the first Elite ID Soccer Camp.

"This is our first ID camp at Pitt State," says head soccer coach Wes Branstetter, "we wanted to get kids anywhere from 8th grade to Juco kids just to get them on campus. So, we can evaluate them, we also coach them to try to help them develop as players too... Sometimes in soccer, there's a lot of recruiting all over the country. I was in Seattle and Los Angeles area in the last week, so this kind of helps bring it together. Because now our eyes are both on the same kids at the same time, so that's super helpful."
