Pittsburgh Penguins release 2024-2025 schedule

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) – The Pittsburgh Penguins schedule for the 2024-2025 season has been released on Tuesday. The team is looking to make it to the postseason after watching the past two from home.

The Penguins open their season at home against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. on TNT. On Oct. 16, Pittsburgh hosts the Buffalo Sabers, who just signed Hollidaysburg native Sam Lafferty.

On Nov. 19, another familiar face will return to PPG Paints Arena in former Penguins winger Jake Guentzel, who signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning this offseason. On Dec. 3, the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers will also head from the Sunshine State to the Steel City for a game.
