The one offensive regular who hasn’t caught fire for the Mets in recent weeks is Jeff McNeil.

The two-time All-Star had to take the break as more of a reset this year, after batting just .216 with five home runs and a .591 OPS through his first 88 games.

McNeil at least ripped run-scoring doubles both Saturday and Sunday against the Rockies, totaling three RBIs in those games.

“He’s been having better at-bats for the past few weeks,” Carlos Mendoza said over the weekend. “He’s continued to hit the ball hard, just not getting any luck.

“But for him to come through in that situation was huge after we created some traffic. … He needed that, and we needed that.”

McNeil has been splitting time lately between second base and right field, with Starling Marte on the injured list .

Veteran infielder Jose Iglesias has provided a lift at second with a .999 OPS in 30 appearances.

He appeared in 11 games with Kansas City last season, but he has spent the majority of his career in the minors.

Porter played 53 games this season at the Triple-A level with Omaha and Sacramento, batting .293 with eight home runs and an .890 OPS.

The Mets released their 2025 schedule on Thursday, and they will open the season with three games against the Astros in Houston beginning March 27.

After three more road games against the Marlins, the home opener at Citi Field will be April 4 against the Blue Jays.

The Mets’ two series against the Yankees will take place May 16-18 at Yankee Stadium and July 4-6 at Citi Field, with one additional game at each venue after four total head-to-head games this season.
