    Fireworks forecast for July 3rd and 4th in Rochester

    When you think of the Fourth of July, you think of fireworks. The Rochester area has its fair share of spectacular shows, most of which happen on the holiday or the day before.

    What weather can viewers expect?

    Fireworks forecast for July 3rd in Rochester NY

    Communities with July 3 shows might have a more difficult time with showers or thunderstorms rolling into the area in the late afternoon or evening, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

    Fireworks forecast for July 4th in Rochester NY

    The forecast for July 4 looks better, with drier conditions and only a small chance of showers or thunderstorms. Temperatures should be in the mid-to-upper 80s both days with humid conditions.

    Rochester-area firework shows on July 3rd

    Conesus Lake Ring of Fire, dusk: There is the possibility of thunderstorms on the south end of the lake, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain and a gentle breeze in the forecast.

    Farmington, dusk: Conditions should be partly cloudy, with 89% cloud cover, with winds out of the south southwest. The temperature is forecast to be in the low 80s and upper 70s.

    Richmond, dusk: Temperatures should be down to 80 degrees by 9 p.m., with very humid conditions and mild winds out of the south southwest. Cloud cover should be significant, forecast at 95 %.

    Sodus Point, 10 p.m.: There’s a possibility of thunderstorms by the time fireworks are scheduled in the Lake Ontario community. Less than a tenth of an inch of precipitation is forecast, with very humid conditions.

    Sweden, dusk: Showers will enter the area ahead of the 9 p.m. hour, though the precipitation amount, 0.02 inches, indicates they should be light. It will be a bit breezy, however, with southwest winds at 14 mph and gusts to 22 mph.

    Rochester-area firework shows on July 4th

    Brighton, 9:50 p.m.: Temperatures will hover in the mid-70s, with high-level clouds and nearly no chance of precipitation.

    Greece, 9:45 p.m.: Mostly cloudy skies and humid conditions are in the forecast for the town’s firework display. Good visibility and a high cloud ceiling should make for favorable viewing conditions.

    Henrietta, 9:45 p.m.: Temperatures in the mid 70s, little to no risk of precipitation and a cloudy backdrop are all on tap for the evening of July 4.

    Irondequoit, 9:45 p.m.: Mostly cloudy skies and humid conditions will greet firework viewers, along with temperatures in the mid-70s.

    Rochester, 10 p.m.: Cloudy and 75 degrees, conditions should be humid but otherwise pleasant for viewing fireworks.

    Canandaigua, dark: Temperatures will hit a low of 65 degrees in the nighttime hours, though it will be warmer as darkness descends. Conditions are forecast to be cloudy with a gentle breeze and a slim chance of precipitation.
