    Rochester man faces drug charges during traffic stop

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A man from Rochester is facing drug charges among others after a traffic stop on Thursday in Rochester on Lyell Avenue. Officers with the Gates Police Department pulled 47-year-old Shawn Spahn of Rochester over for driving with an expired inspection.

    Upon pulling Spahn over, officers learned Spahn’s license was expired and found him to be in possession of 10 grams of methamphetamine and located a 9mm hand gun which Spahn did not have the permit for.

    Spahn was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree – intent to sell and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

    Spahn was arraigned in Gates Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $20,000 cash bail/ $40,000 bond.
