Roseland Swears in a New Patrol Officer

ROSELAND, NJ -- Salvatore Cicatiello Jr. took the oath to become the newest patrol officer for the Roseland Police Department and the July 16 meeting of the Borough Council.

Cicatiello is a recent graduate of the Morris County Police Academy.

Mayor James Spango said, "It's not an easy road. There's a lot of stuff that people don't see that supports that family there (the police department) and that family at home."

Roseland Police Director Livio Cioffi said to Cicatiello, "Speaking to your parents, it's nice to hear that this was a lifelong dream of yours, and coming in with that mentality is very important today, that you're taking the job for the right reasons. We're looking forward to working with you."
