High Ridge Fire rescue woman, child and two men from Big River at Rockford Park
A 29-year-old South St. Louis County woman, a 12-year-old Fenton girl, an Imperial man and a House Springs man, were rescued from the Big River at Rockford Park on June 29. Crews from the High Ridge Fire Protection District were called to the park at 7:45 p.m. Fire Chief John Barton said the woman and girl were clinging to the cliff wall on the opposite side of the river from the park river access, calling for help. Barton said the two adult male bystanders jumped into the water to help, and they, too, had to be rescued by High Ridge Fire crews.
Hearing date set to determine if Marcellus Williams’ conviction will be vacated
CLAYTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A date has been set for a court hearing to determine if the first-degree murder conviction of Marcellus Williams will be vacated. The hearing on the motion to vacate WIlliams’ conviction is set for August 21 at the St. Louis County Courthouse in Clayton. St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell filed a motion to vacate the conviction in late January.
