The 2024 Hillsboro graduate pitched a complete-game shutout for a 1-0 victory over visiting Festus Post 253 in a District 13 American Legion game June 26. Prince scattered seven hits, didn’t allow a walk and struck out two as De Soto improved to 4-3 in the district and 11-5-2 overall. For the season, Prince has pitched 18 2/3 innings with an earned run average of 4.12. This spring, Prince played baseball for the Hawks and finished fourth in the Jefferson County Activities Association golf tournament.
