SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The Tom Green County Commissioners reinstated a burn ban within the county on June 25, just a week before the Fourth of July.

Although the burn ban is in effect due to the dry conditions within Tom Green County, fireworks will still be allowed.

While fireworks are still permitted within Tom Green County, the San Angelo Police Department reminds citizens that a fine is punishable by possessing or using fireworks within 5,000 feet of the city limits.
