Tim Duncan Trending For Unexpected Reason During NBA Draft

The 2024 NBA Draft is in full swing, as the newest crop of talented players eagerly step into the spotlight to embrace the life-changing moment they've been dreaming of.

The San Antonio Spurs held the No. 4 and No. 8 picks in the draft, selecting UConn Huskies guard Stephon Castle and Kentucky Wildcats guard Rob Dillingham with their top-10 picks. Dillingham was later traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Spurs are adding a talented young star in Castle to pair with their franchise player, Victor Wembanyama.

However, unexpectedly, Spurs legend Tim Duncan is trending during Wednesday night's draft after making an appearance during the Spurs' picks.

San Antonio's draft room usually contains coaches and scouts, but it was a rare sight to see Duncan back there. Since retiring from the league, he has kept a low profile, making his presence at the event quite surprising.
