    Widow of husband shot and killed at Trump rally shares his heart-shattering final two words

    The widow of the man shot and killed during the Donald Trump campaign rally has revealed his heart-shattering final words before his tragic death.

    The victim that was killed during the assassination attempt on the former President's life was volunteer firefighter and father-of-two Corey Comperatore . As shots rang out into the crowd during the rally, the 50-year-old attendee heroically shielded his family in the crowd from gunfire which costed him his life.

    As his wife Helen continues to grieve the loss of her husband, she has vulnerably shared her Corey's last words as he sacrificed his own life to save his loved ones. During an interview held from her home in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Monday, she The New York Post : "He’s my hero. He just said, ‘Get down!’ That was the last thing he said.”

    Helen went to add that as was given a personal phone call from President Joe Biden as he wanted to share his condolescenes for the tragedy, but she rejected the call. She revealed to the news outlet: "I didn’t talk to Biden. I didn’t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.” Helen confirmed that her family has not yet heard from Donald Trump.

    During the interview, Helen shared her and Corey's sweet love story revealing that they've been together ever since they were kids and were about to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary together. As Trump supporters themselves, the long-time couple took a family trip to the Pennsylvania rally to hear his message ahead of the upcoming election.

    Helen explained: "Me and the kids were all there as a family. He was just excited. It was going to be a nice day with the family." She went on to add: "It was a bad day. He was a very loving husband. He was a simple man but he put his wife and kids first all the time. I did nothing here. I didn’t lift a finger. He did everything.”

    During the rally, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on the crowd murdering Corey and injuring two others. After Corey was struck by one of the bullets, a doctor in the crowd rushed to perform CPR on him in an attempt to save his life.

    Speaking on the harrowing moment as he spoke a blood-soaked shirt, doctor Jake Rosen explained: "I heard the shots. I thought it was firecrackers to begin with. Somebody over there was screaming, 'he's been shot, he's been shot.' So, I made my way over. I said I'm an emergency department physician. Let me help you," and added: "There's lots of blood and he had brain matter."

    After the horrific tragedy, Helen has been overwhelmed by the love and support she's received in memory of her husband. Since their loss, Corey's family has stated a GoFundMe in his honor that has already raised a whopping $990,000. Speaking on the nation's generosity, Helen said: "The donations that are coming in across the community and across the country, it’s more than I can even imagine. It’s more than I can fathom, but he deserves it all. He deserves everything.”
