    Portsmouth, Ohio-

The day was full of phone calls concerning family disputes over the sudden influx of $1400 in stimulus money.

Several couples have been reported using debit cards against the will of their partners.

After receiving confirmation through her email that the replacement of her debit card was sent, a woman called the police to report the incident. Her request for a duplicate was never made and she had no clue who did or where it was headed.

Loud arguments over money escalated from the home into the streets.

Clients harassed caregivers for spending money in an unreasonable manner. The client has been assigned to a caregiver to ensure that his or her financial obligations are met. Some of the clients were very aggressive with bank tellers before they deposited the money. That energy is now being directed towards caregivers who are there to help them.

A son physically assaulted his mother when she refused to give him money. The mother told police that he abused drugs and didn't want to be involved.

A man entered the workplace of his ex-wife demanding “his money”. According to the man, they haven’t updated their tax and banking information since taxes aren’t due yet. The woman insisted that no deposit was received today. However, he was advised that his return to the workplace could result in trespassing charges.

A woman called the police and said that her mother had set her stimulus check on fire.
