    SCC dance program presents free dance concert

    The Scottsdale Community College Dance Program presents Kinetic Connections, a dance concert performed by SCC’s two resident companies and guests, on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. The show will be presented in person and via livestream.

    Kinetic Connections will offer works that showcase the artistry and physicality of SCC dancers, along with special guests including Kevin Godfrey-Chevalier & dancers, winner of the Professional Division of the Creative Connections Choreography Competition.

    Performers will include:

    • Instinct Dancecorps, performing works by faculty members Karryn Allen and Shauna.
    • Meredith, and guest choreographers Kathryn Alter and George Jones.
    • Fusion Dance Ensemble, performing works by faculty members Karryn Allen, Anna Jones.
    • Jennifer Rhea McKusick, and Lisa Thorngren.
    • Kevin Godfrey-Chevalier and dancers, a guest company performing a work by Kevin Godfrey-Chevalier.

    The SCC dance program is the largest among all Maricopa County Community Colleges. Each year, SCC Dance attends the prestigious collegiate American College Dance Association Conference where it has been selected for the final gala performance numerous times since 2000.

    The show is set for 8:00 p.m. both nights at the Scottsdale Community College Performing Arts Center, 9000 E. Chaparral Road, in Scottsdale.
