Kentucky State Police Post 3 selling raffle tickets at Bowling Green Walmart
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police Post is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 2024 Mustang convertible or a large sum of cash. According to KSP trooper Katan Parker, he will be located at the Walmart on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. selling the raffle tickets for $10.
Celebrating 100 years of life, Village Manor throws birthday party
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s a big deal, turning 100 years old. Not many people make it, and those that do have a lot of stories to tell. Tillie Lightfoot, born in Butler County, just turned 100 on June 30. She was born in 1924. Now residing at Village Manor in Bowling Green, family, friends and the living facility threw her a birthday party Monday for the big day.

WKU VAMPY celebrates 40 summers
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU Center for Gifted Studies is celebrating forty summers of the VAMPY program. VAMPY stands for verbally and mathematically precocious youth, and it provides a three-week summer camp for students who have completed a grade seventh through tenth and who also scored at or above the average for college-bound seniors on the SAT or ACTs. The classes at VAMPY provide an intense learning experience in subjects that they are interested in but may not be getting enough of in their regular school offerings.
