BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Six WKU Football players have been selected to the Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist, the East-West Shrine Bowl announced Tuesday. Representing the Hilltoppers on the list are defensive backs Upton Stout and Anthony Johnson Jr., offensive lineman Quantavious Leslie, receivers Dalvin Smith and Kisean Johnson, and quarterback TJ Finley.

Conference USA Announces 2024 Preseason Award Winners
Ahead of Conference USA Media Day in Texas this week, the league announced their three preseason players of the year. One player was chosen from the offense, defense, and special teams respectively. Two of those awards went to members of the defending champion Liberty Flames, while one went to a member of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Flames were chosen as the favorites to win CUSA over the weekend, while the Hilltoppers also received two first-place votes.
