Fire teams responding to small vegetation fire on Ballard Canyon Road north of Solvang Thursday

SOLVANG, Calif. – Fire crews are responding to a 1.5-acre vegetation fire in the 900 block of Ballard Canyon Road near Chalk Hill Road north of Solvang Thursday afternoon.

Forward progress of the grass fire was stopped at 4 p.m. and was 75 percent contained as of 5:16 p.m. detailed the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, no roads have been closed as part of the response, no injuries have been reported from the scene, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
