The Seattle Seahawks have sent backup center Nick Harris back to the Cleveland Browns. That's where Harris played the previous four seasons after getting picked by them in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Washington. According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN , the team has sent Harris to Cleveland along with a seventh-round pick in 2026. In exchange they will be getting back a sixth-rounder the same year.

Harris became somewhat of an afterthought about a week ago when Schefter reported that Seattle has agreed to terms of a one-year deal with former Miami Dolphins center Connor Williams. He will be at the top of the team's depth chart at this spot.

With second-year lineman Olu Oluwatimi projected as Williams' top understudy and the recent signing of undrafted NDSU lineman Jalen Sundell, the Seahawks were suddenly flush at center, and could afford to dump one of them. To get anything back at all is a win.

Williams has still not officially signed with the team as of yet, but he is expected to join them soon, according to head coach Mike Macdonald. Harris' exit opens up a spot for him on the 90-man offseason roster.

Update: The Seahawks have now announced the Williams signing along with the Harris trade.
