Los Angeles Chargers waive two players including one of their quarterbacks

The Los Angeles Chargers have been active in terms of roster moves on Monday, signing two new players and moving on from two others.

In addition to the signing of veteran linebacker Shaquille Quarterman, the Chargers have also added wide receiver Isaiah Wooden.

Wooden played for Southern Utah after beginning his college career at Kent State. Undrafted, he was with the Atlanta Falcons briefly this offseason.

The Chargers see something in the 5-foot-8 wide receiver and are going to see what that can turn into while moving on from speedy wideout Praise Olatoke.

The Chargers signed Olatoke back in June. The former Ohio State sprinter who was born in Nigeria and raised in Scotland, came to the team through the NFL International Pathway Program. He has incredible speed but has not played much organized football in his life.

Chargers also waive quarterback Casey Bauman

Still needing to clear a roster spot following the Quarterman signing, the Chargers have chosen to move on from one of the five quarterbacks on the roster. Casey Bauman is the first domino to fall there.

Bauman, undrafted out of Augustana following this year's draft, did not get into the preseason game against the Colts. He's 6-foot-7 and has some raw talent, but the Chargers are not going to be the team to develop those.

The Chargers will move forward with Easton Stick, Max Duggan and Luis Perez while Justin Herbert continues to nurse a plantar fascia injury.
