A popular restaurant that has been a staple of the greater Cincinnati community for half a century has closed its doors . All hope for a return is not lost, however, as the owner is searching for a new location to reopen for its loyal customers.

A LaRosa's Pizzeria spokesperson said that the Springdale-Princeton location in the Tri-County Town Center will pause its operations "for an extended amount of time" after the longtime restaurant lost its lease, per FOX 19 . The pizzeria has been at the same location for 50 years.

Eddie Meiners , the franchise owner of the Springdale-Princeton LaRosa's location, hopes to reopen in the future somewhere within the Tri-County area and keep the restaurant going for many more years; however, it is unclear when they may reopen as they are still looking for a new spot to once again call home.

"I'm the third generation of my family to serve guests here," Meiners said. "We are being very deliberate exploring the Tri-County area for a location that will be convenient and serve our guests for decades to come."

According to Local 12 , the last day of business at the Springdale-Princeton location was July 3. Employees have been offered positions at nearby LaRosa's locations until the pizzeria can reopen.
