3 families displaced after Sunset apartment fire
SUNSET, Utah (ABC4) — Three families have been displaced after a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Sunset early Wednesday morning, July 3. North Davis Fire District Chief Mark Becraft told ABC4.com the fire started just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday. When firefighters arrived, they found “heavy flames” coming out of an apartment building with four units near 500 West and 2600 North.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) West Desert District is reminding the public about Stage 1 fire restrictions ahead of the Independence Day holiday and holiday weekend. Charges filed against man accused of trying to hijack UTA bus
LAYTON — A Farmington man who police say huffed a can of air duster before trying to hijack a UTA bus and attempting to burn an officer, is now facing formal charges. Keith Sterling Frandsen, 36, was charged Monday in 2nd District Court with bus hijacking, a first-degree felony; assault on a police officer, a class A misdemeanor; and interfering with a police officer, a class B misdemeanor.
Multi-agency effort contains grass fire threatening structures in West Weber County
WEST WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Multiple fire departments and the Weber County Sheriff's Office swiftly contained a grass fire threatening several structures on Sunday afternoon. At approximately 2:45 p.m. on June 30, 2024, crews from Weber Fire District, North View Fire District, Ogden City, Roy City, Riverdale City, Hill AFB Little Mountain, and South Ogden Fire Departments, along with the Weber County Sheriff's Office, responded to the blaze. Upon arrival, they encountered heavy smoke and flames involving two large haystacks in a field, which were spreading rapidly and endangering three nearby structures.
