( May 3, 2024 ) Housing Nantucket announced Friday that six affordable rentals are available for lottery in the soon-to-be-completed Wiggles Way apartment complex off Fairgrounds Road.

There are also 16 "workforce" rentals available for moderate-income households, which will be chosen from Housing Nantucket's ready-to-rent list.

The permanently affordable rental homes were created through a partnership between the Town of Nantucket’s Affordable Housing Trust and ReMain Nantucket, with support from Housing Nantucket’s donors.

Amenities in the Wiggles Way apartments include hardwood floors, private basement storage, shared washer/dryers in
each building, and a large park on site. The target completion date is Aug. 1.

The monthly rent, including electricty, for the one-bedroom apartments is $2,194, $2,468 for the two-bedroom apartments and $2,741 for the three-bedroom apartments.

Allowable annual income ranges from $57,563 to $76,750 for a single person, to $95,400-$127,200 for six people.

The electronic application for Affordable and Workforce Units is available on
    Housing Nantucket’s website

Housing Nantucket will hold an information session from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. on Zoom. The recording will be made available afterward on its YouTube channel.

Completed applications must be received by Housing Nantucket before 2 p.m. July 2. The lottery will be held July 9. Selected tenants will be notified shortly thereafter.
