    CHURCH HILL — The Future Falcons Mini Cheer Camp will be held Sept. 10-12 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Volunteer High School small gym.

    The cost of the camp is $40, which includes camp and a T-shirt.

    Participants will cheer with the Volunteer cheerleaders at the Falcons’ home football game on Friday, Sept. 13.

    Lady Falcons launching skills and drills fundraiser

    CHURCH HILL — The Lady Falcons basketball skills and drills sessions for youth in grades 2-8 will be held Saturdays, Sept. 14-Oct. 26, in the Volunteer High School gym.

    Participants will work with the Lady Falcons’ players and coaches to improve basketball fundamental skills.

    The cost is $5 per player for a one-hour session. To participate, individuals must RSVP to reserve a time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

    Future Warriors Cheer Camp is Sept. 23

    ROGERSVILLE — Rogersville City School will host Future Warriors Cheer Camp on Monday, Sept. 23, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the RCS gym.

    The cost is $25 and includes a T-shirt and hair ribbon.

    Participants will cheer with the Warriors during the third quarter of the home football game on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m.

    The registration deadline is Sept. 16.

    Volunteer homecoming parade is Oct. 3

    CHURCH HILL — The Volunteer homecoming parade will be held Oct. 3, starting at 6 p.m., on Main Street in Church Hill. Lineup will begin at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Church Hill Middle School.

    Northeast State golf tournament set for Oct. 9

    BLOUNTVILLE — Northeast State Community College will host its inaugural Academic Village and Workforce Solutions Golf Tournament on Oct. 9 at Cattails at Meadowview in Kingsport.

    The tournament is open to the public, with sponsorship opportunities ranging from $100 to $1,000 for participating individuals and teams. There will be a noon registration and lunch with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Sign up now at this link: https://givebutter.com/L7e7gy.

    All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kingsport Village and Workforce Solutions scholarships for students at Northeast State.

    The tournament features three team sponsorship levels.

    All tournament participants will receive a swag bag. There will also be door prizes at the luncheon, along with prizes for the following: first, second, and third place teams, closest to the pin (three locations), longest drive, and a prize for a hole-in-one. All tournament entrants can purchase a Mulligan on the day of the tournament.

    Boys & Girls Club tournament is Oct. 21

    KINGSPORT — The Greater Kingsport Boys & Girls Club Foundation will host its 2024 golf tournament benefiting Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport on Oct. 21 at Cattails at MeadowView. There’ll be a noon shotgun start.

    The cost is $100 for 18 holes and cart, gimmicks, lunch and prizes. Sponsorship packages are available. Call 423-276-7511.

    Volunteer SGA Fall Festival is Nov. 2

    CHURCH HILL — The Volunteer High School SGA will host its annual fall festival on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4-8 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door

    The festival will feature a haunted house (PG-13), carnival games, trunk-or-treat, hay rides, food trucks, live music and craft/small business vendors.

    Spaces (10x10) are available for craft vendors and small business vendors. The rental cost is $25. Vendors are responsible for booth equipment. Only one vendor for each type of craft or small business will be accepted.
