    Thursday, Aug. 29

    🏐 Volleyball

    Hannah Holliday/Brianna Walters, Williamsville: Holliday compiled 13 kills and two blocks and Walters racked up 15 digs as the Bullets swept Decatur St. Teresa 25-20, 25-13 in Williamsville. Riley Holliday had 22 assists in the win.

    Isabella Tiburzi/Hannah Gibson, Carlinville: Tiburzi tallied 14 assists and two blocks and Gibson recorded seven kills and three aces in a 25-11, 25-23 win over Auburn.

    Kinley Stolte, Nokomis: Provided Nokomis with eight assists, seven digs and four aces in a 25-13, 25-9 victory over Litchfield. Stolte finished with 14 service points.

    Meaghan Marshall, Jacksonville Routt: Led Routt with seven kills and five blocks in a 25-14, 25-20 victory over Pleasant Hill.

    Reagan McGlauchlen, Pana: Supplied 11 kills as the Panthers eked out a 25-17, 23-25, 29-27 victory over visiting Olney Richland County. Izzy Reed delivered 22 assists and Kennedy Bowker had 16 digs for Pana.

    Lakin Johnson, Riverton: Posted seven assists, four kills and four service aces to pace Riverton past visiting Mount Pulaski 25-20, 25-19.

    Wednesday, Aug. 28

    🏌 Boys Golf

    Sam Schwab, Litchfield: Put in three birdies and finished with a 2-under-par 33 for medalist honors in Litchfield’s second-place finish in a quadrangular against Staunton, Pana and East Alton Wood River at Litchfield Country Club.

    Staunton and Litchfield finished with a score of 158 apiece, but Staunton won the meet by the fifth-place individual score. Bryce Coalson led the Bulldogs with a 2-over 37.

    🎾 Girls Tennis

    Anna West, Sacred Heart-Griffin: West defeated Decatur MacArthur’s Charlotte Bramer 8-3 in a pro-set at the No. 1 singles spot in the Cyclones’ 8-0 dual meet victory at SHG. Lucia Hassebrock and Allyson Brown won 8-0 over Emma Badon and Bramer in the No. 1 doubles match.

    Tuesday, Aug. 27

    🏐 Volleyball

    Ainsley Lambert/Madison Clark, Springfield High: Lambert and Clark served four aces apiece in the Senators’ 25-11, 25-12 opening season victory over Decatur MacArthur at Willard Duey Gym. Clark added eight assists and Lambert registered seven digs.

    Willow Milkint, Pleasant Plains: The junior middle hitter tallied eight kills and the Cardinals swept Decatur St. Teresa 25-18, 25-16 at Plains.

    Mackenzie Mehochko, Nokomis: Filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, including five service aces, to go with four kills and four digs in a 25-18, 25-10 victory over Moweaqua Central A&M.

    Kate Cosgriff, Jacksonville Routt: Finished with five kills, nine assists and four digs as Routt lost a Western Illinois Valley Conference match to Mount Sterling Brown County 25-17, 15-25, 25-21.

    Clara Brunner/Phoebe Cochran, Lutheran: The duo each had six kills to lead the Crusaders to a 2-0 win over South County. Piper Taylor added 16 digs.

    🏊 Girls Swimming and Diving

    Kylie Sullens/Erin Turk, Chatham Glenwood: The duo won two events apiece as the Titans defeated Normal Community 104-70 in a dual meet at Normal. Sullens won the 200-yard IM and 100 breaststroke and Turk was victorious in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.

    ⚽ Boys Soccer

    Brenden McArdle, Rochester: Scored three goals and had an assist as the Rockets blanked Southeast 8-0 at Lee Field in Central State Eight Conference play.

    Monday, Aug. 26

    🏐 Volleyball

    Riley Holiday/Hannah Holiday, Williamsville: Riley dialed up 17 assists and Hannah put down 10 kills and collected nine digs and one block in the Bullets’ 25-9, 25-11 season-opening win over South County at Williamsville.

    Reagan McGlauchlen/Izzy Reed, Pana: McGlauchlen notched 12 kills and Reed produced 22 assists and four kills and the Panthers went the distance to beat Hillsboro 22-25, 25-15, 25-18 in a nonconference match at Hillsboro.

    ⚽ Boys Soccer

    Julian Rice, Riverton: Rice recorded a hat trick in Riverton’s 5-1 victory over Southeast at Lee Field in nonconference play. Jackson Nibbe scored twice and Bryce Kukla provided four assists for Riverton.

    Landon Kutscher, Rochester: Scored an unassisted goal in the second half, but Rochester fell to Normal West 2-1 in a nonconference game at Rochester. The Wildcats scored twice after intermission and outshot the Rockets 8-5.
