Season 3 began filming in June 2023, after the SAG-Aftra strike ended, and was one of the first shows to resume production.
Somebody Somewhere is about a woman in her 40s, Sam (Bridget Everett), who is trying to find happiness after the death of her sister.
So, she moves back home to her hometown, Manhattan, Kansas , and finds her community of outsiders, where she perfectly fits in.
The show was created by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen.
Along with starring in the show, Bridget is also a writer and executive producer.
Somebody Somewhere also stars Jeff Hiller as Joel – Sam’s co-worker and friend, Mary Catherine Garrison as Tricia Miller – Sam’s sister, who runs a store, Murray Hill as Fred Rococo, a soil scientist and master of ceremonies.
Jane Drake Brody, John Hudson Odom, Heidi Johanningmeier, Mercedes White, Tim Bagley, Jennifer Mudge, and Danny McCarthy, also star.
Meighan Gerachis and newcomer Ólafur Darri Ólafsson are joining Season 3.
Mike Hagerty also starred until his death in 2022.

‘THE GREATEST DREAM’
Those who worked on Somebody Somewhere released statements about working with the team.
“It has been the greatest dream to bring this world to life, and to do it with HBO, Bos, Thureen, and Everett,” executive producer Carolyn Strauss said in a statement to the outlet.
“Kansas Prairie-sized love and thanks to Amy [Gravitt], the entire HBO family, and to the most talented and caring cast and crew. The heart of Somebody Somewhere is friendship, and we will always hold dear the friendships on the screen and those forged behind the camera.”
Amy, who is executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO and Max comedy series, said she was proud to have collaborated with the team on the “remarkable exploration of the beauty of everyday life.”
She went on to say that it is hard to say goodbye to those characters but is grateful for the “journey and legacy” Somebody Somewhere leaves behind.
“Well, can I keep this?” Sam asks as she holds a baby onesie up, which reads ‘World’s Smallest Fanilow’ in front of her chest.
“Sure, why?” her roommate Joel asks.
“It’s got just enough give to pop over these things,” Sam responds, pointing to her breasts.
“Hi, I’m Joel’s best friend.”
Sam then has Thanksgiving dinner with her family and offers to “help” Joel when he has a bathroom emergency.
She appears to adopt a puppy and hang out with friends at a bar.
