Alabama Teen Arrested After Being Rejected by Another Teen

(Alabama)- On August 16, 2024, an Alabama teen allowed his anger and inability to accept rejection to get the best of him and now may be in more trouble than he bargained for. The incident happened around 7:30 pm at Solomon Park located at 2001 Choctaw Street after locals in the community reported shots being fired.

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and spotted a vehicle leaving with several juveniles inside. After conducting a traffic stop, they discovered firearms inside the vehicle. At the Dothan park, they also found fresh shell casings, confirming that a gun had been fired.

An investigation began, and an official press release about the incident stated:

According to witnesses and the suspect, the suspect, a 17-year-old male, was angry at the target of the shooting because she had not given him her phone number at school earlier in the day. At Solomon Park, the suspect saw the victim with her boyfriend and opened fire with a 9mm handgun.

Luckily, no one was injured during the chaotic ordeal.

The teen suspect involved now faces serious charges of two counts of Attempted Assault 1^st Degree and will be trialed as an adult in Alabama. However, because of his age and state laws, his name and image will not be released to the community.
