The Willingham Theater will present “Southern Fried Funeral” on the Willingham Theater stage on April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. and April 14 at 3 p.m.

Dewey Frye is dead and the rest of his family is left to pick up the pieces — that is if they don’t kill each other first. Not only does matriarch Dorothy have to contend with sudden widowhood, but she’s also faced with church-committee harpy Ozella Meeks sticking her nose in the family business, Dewey’s snake-in-the-grass brother making a grab for her house, and two grown daughters reliving their childhood rivalry. Funerals bring out the worst, the best, and the funniest in people, and the Fryes are no exception. A big-hearted comedy about family — Southern-style.

The production is directed by Joey Kirkman, Set Design and Construction by Edward C Kluttz III, Becky Beamguard as Stage Manager, Sound Technician by Timothy Harrison, Lighting Design by Jacob A Reeves, Karen Pizutti as Props Master, Hunter Harrell as Light Board Operator. The cast features Jack Bruce, Shakara Canter, Leigh Caudill, Leanna Daley, Patrick Daley, Angela Hodges, Jeffrey Mabe, Robin Patterson, Randy Warden, Jean Wentz, and Daniel Wilhelm.

Tickets are $24 and can be purchased at www.yadkinarts.org or at the Box Office from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m., Monday-Friday at the Willingham Theater (Yadkin Cultural Arts Center), 226 E. Main St., Yadkinville.
