    Caseville, MI - The Caseville Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with local merchants, is delighted to host the 22nd Annual Caseville Pumpkin Fest, a cherished community event that brings together families, friends, and visitors for a weekend of autumn-themed fun and festivities. Scheduled for Friday, September 20th, and Saturday, September 21st, the festival offers a variety of activities catering to all ages, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

    Friday Night: Storytime for the Little Ones

    The festivities kick off on Friday evening with a special storytime event, "Room on the Broom," at 8:00 PM. Held at the Lemon Tree Marketplace, this enchanting event invites children aged 2 to 8 to gather for a magical story hour, with a chance for attendees to win a copy of the book. This family-friendly activity sets the tone for the weekend, encouraging community engagement and the joy of reading among the youngest festival-goers.

    Saturday: A Day Packed with Activities

    Saturday, September 21st, is the main event, bursting with activities spread across various locations in Caseville. From creative contests and thrilling games to tasty treats and entertaining shows, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

    Art and Creativity Contests

    The day begins at 10:00 AM with the Color Contest, where participants can pick up coloring sheets at Keepsakes and showcase their artistic skills. Simultaneously, young children can partake in the Tiny Pumpkin Hunt at the Lemon Tree Marketplace. In this delightful activity, kids are challenged to find hidden mini pumpkins and exchange them for a prize, with a limit of one pumpkin per child.

    For those with a flair for the artistic, the Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest takes place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Memorial/City Park, with judging set for 3:00 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to create colorful chalk masterpieces on the park’s sidewalks, adding a vibrant touch to the festival’s atmosphere.

    Meanwhile, Keepsakes will host the Pumpkin Decorating Contest from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants can drop off their creatively decorated pumpkins, which will be judged at 4:00 PM. For those with an interest in horticulture, the Giant Pumpkin Contest, sponsored by Keepsakes, will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Memorial/City Park. Contestants can bring their oversized pumpkins to be measured, with the winner announced at 4:30 PM.

    Classic Cars, Markets, and More

    Automobile enthusiasts can head over to the Maccabees Hall Museum from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to admire vintage vehicles at the Caseville Classic Car & Tractor Show, sponsored by the Caseville Historical Society. Simultaneously, the Market on Main will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Memorial/City Park, offering a range of local crafts, produce, and goods for festival-goers to explore.

    Pumpkin Roll and Bike Drawings

    A highlight of the day is the Pumpkin Roll at County Park Hill by the Amphitheater, starting at 11:00 AM. Participants must bring their own pumpkins to compete in this fun-filled event, where pumpkins are rolled down the hill in a race against gravity. Registration opens at 11:00 AM, and the Pumpkin Roll begins at 11:30 AM.

    Following the Pumpkin Roll, attendees can try their luck at the Bike Drawing for both girls and boys, also taking place at County Park Hill by the Amphitheater. Sponsored by Independent Bank and the Caseville Fire Department, this event provides an exciting chance for kids to win a brand-new bike.

    Food, Fun, and Games

    From 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, visitors can enjoy Glitter Tattoos sponsored by Key North Adventure Golf. For those craving autumn flavors, Key North Adventure Golf will also offer hot apple cider and freshly baked donuts from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing a delicious way to embrace the season.

    Young artists can participate in face painting at Memorial/City Park from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Sponsored by Beachy’s, this activity is open to kids aged 5-11 and 12-13, with a small fee of $1.00.

    Adventure seekers can embark on the Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with forms available at Keepsakes. Participants will explore the area in search of clues, adding an element of mystery and excitement to their festival experience.

    At 3:00 PM, attendees can watch or participate in the Ducky Drop at Main St. Bridge. For a fee of $5.00, participants can pick up a duck, with prizes awarded based on the duck’s performance in this quirky and entertaining race, sponsored by Bullfrogs Paddle Sports.

    Evening Events: Pie Eating, Parades, and Glow Golf

    As the sun begins to set, the competition heats up with the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest at 4:00 PM at Beachy’s. This messy but delicious contest challenges participants to devour as much pumpkin pie as possible in a race against the clock.

    The festivities culminate with the 8th Annual PumpkinFest Lighted Parade at 8:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to light up themselves, their bikes, cars, or floats and parade through the heart of Caseville, creating a dazzling display of lights and creativity at the Corner of Michigan & M-25.

    For those who want to keep the fun going, Glow Golf, sponsored by Key North Adventure Golf, will be available from 9:30 PM to midnight. This unique golfing experience under the stars adds an extra touch of magic to the festival, rounding out the day’s events with a glowing finale.
