Former SEC Star Running Back Announces NFL Retirement

Eight-year NFL veteran and Alabama Crimson Tide alumni Kenyan Drake has announced his retirement. The former Miami Dolphins running back is calling it quits after a relatively successful career.

NFL insider Josina Anderson confirmed Drake's decision to retire. The veteran running back said that he was at peace with his decision to retire.

"Yes it is. It felt like the right time. I love the game, but I don't love the business. I'm at peace with the decision. I'm healthy and ready to start the next chapter of my life," Drake said in a text message to Anderson.

Drake might be most known for his participation in the Miami Miracle. In a divisional game against the Patriots, Drake scored on a mad last-second kick return scramble to give the Dolphins the win. It's easily the biggest highlight of Drake's long career.

Drake played for multiple teams after leaving the Dolphins. He was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, and the Cleveland Brown.
