Little League World Series games today: LLWS schedule for Friday, Aug. 16

The 2024 Little League World Series continues on Friday, Aug. 16, with the third day of action from South Williamsport, Penn. front and center for the baseball world.

This year's LLWS has already gotten off to an impressive start. Mexico, which will take on Venezuela at Volunteer Stadium on Friday, started the tournament off with a no-hitter in a 2-0 win over Aruba. Hawaii, meanwhile, came out of the gate with three first-inning runs en route to a 3-1 win over New Hampshire.

Chinese Taipei posted an impressive 8-0 win over Canada (which, like Mexico, included a no-hitter), before Florida eked out a 2-1 victory over South Dakota to take one more step forward in the winner's bracket.

Those wins set up Friday's games, where Venezuela, Australia, Illinois, and Washington will step up to the plate for the first time in this year's LLWS.
