    Tessie Holmes was visiting Mrs. W.W. Broome. • Mrs. Ira Cronin and her children were in Vicksburg from Baton Rouge. • The Floral Club met with Mrs. J.S. Behr.

    Edward Gerrell and Dorothy Lum were married. • Gene Barker and Jimmie Louise Sherard were married. • Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Jolly and their children were in South Carolina.

    A son was born to Aviation Cadet and Mrs. Jack Conway. • Robert Middleton was stationed at Keesler Field. • The Wisconsin State Memorial in the Vicksburg National Military Park was damaged by a storm.
