Train derailment reported in Ohio; roads closed

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE , Ohio (WDTN) — Emergency crews are on scene of a train derailment in south central Ohio.

According to the Washington Court House Police Department in Fayette County, a train derailment occurred Friday, July 12 at the intersection of Dayton Avenue NW and Veterans Way.

Both Dayton Avenue and Veterans Way will remain closed. Police say the railroad track is required to be repaired. Lakeview Avenue will not reopen until at least Friday, July 12 at 9 p.m.

There were no injuries, according to police.
