Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is a popular pick, along with Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, to be the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

However, Daniels isn’t the only popular rookie quarterback from the Commanders.

Washington signed former Wake Forest and Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman to a priority free-agent deal in April after he went undrafted in the 2024 NFL draft. Shortly afterward, the Commanders released quarterback Jake Fromm, giving Hartman a good chance of being Washington’s third quarterback behind Daniels and Marcus Mariota.

While Hartman isn’t in contention for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, he has his share of fans, particularly female fans — young and old.

When Hartman was working out during Senior Bowl practice in January, New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen was overheard discussing how his 93-year-old grandmother was a big Hartman fan.

    Check it out:

“I mean, Hartman, my grandma loves him,” Hartman said on “Hard Knocks: Offseason With the New York Giants.”

“You know, she still lives in South Bend and watches Notre Dame games. And she’s like, ‘What do you think about Hartman, Joe? He is so cute.’ She goes, ‘I may be 93, but I’m not blind.’ I’m like, ‘Oh geez, Grandma.'”

We wonder what she thought about her grandson passing over Hartman in the NFL draft?
