Wizards prospect Alex Sarr’s performance Thursday night continued the trend of a brutal start to his stateside career.

The No. 2 overall pick out of France from the 2024 NBA Draft was held to just two points in a 73-69 win over the Kings.

In 27 minutes, he only connected on 1-of-6 attempts — which left him shooting 16.7 percent for the night.

In the Wizard’s previous outing — an 82-80 loss against Portland on Tuesday — the 19-year-old ended the game with whooping zero points , going 0-for-15 from the field and missing all seven shots from 3-point range.

So far, he’s averaging 4.1 points on just 19.1 percent shooting from the field in four games.

Combining the past two games, Sarr is 1-of-21 from the field and 0-for-7 from downtown.

    He’s also accumulated 10 fouls.

Prior to the June draft, analysts and pundits speculated that the 2024 class was one of the weaker ones in recent memory, with Fox Sports’ Ric Bucher having strong words about the “historically bad” group.

So far, Sarr has not done much to dispel this notion that has plagued the incoming class for a while.

“The word is out on the 2024 NBA Draft,” he wrote . “It’s trash. Historically bad. Epically disappointing. Quite possibly, the worst ever.”

A Western Conference executive even told Bucher that the class “doesn’t have All-Stars.”

However, on Thursday, Sarr managed to garner some attention late in the game.

With 20 seconds left, the 7-footer displayed grit by hustling to a missed shot before kicking it to teammate Patrick Baldwin Jr., who drilled the game-winner from deep.

The play marked the last of four assists for Sarr.

He will look to find rhythm in his shot Saturday when the Wizards face the Bucks.
