MPD identify two men killed in quadruple Southeast shooting

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police have released the names of the two men who were killed in a quadruple shooting , near a daycare, that left a toddler hurt on Thursday in Southeast.

Police identified the two victims as 29-year-old Lamont Street of Capitol Heights, Md., and 50-year-old Jermaine Proctor of Southeast.

around 11:20 a.m. officers were called to the 2200 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast after hearing gunshots. There, police found four victims who had been shot.

Street and Proctor died at the scene.

Police said another man and a 2-year-old girl were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

According to MPD, detectives learned that multiple people got out of a vehicle and started shooting. The young girl was hit while going on a morning walk with daycare workers, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099. Police said they are offering rewards of up to $25,000 for each victim to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
