State Health Department Highlights Beaver Dam Crisis Stabilization Facility
(Beaver Dam) The Wisconsin Department of Health is highlighting five crises stabilization facilities now open across the state, including one in Beaver Dam. Crisis stabilization facilities support people who cannot stay in their community safely, but do not need to be hospitalized. Funded by the Department of Health Services, the centers provide a dedicated location for this level of care for most counties.

Representatives of Fond du Lac County, in partnership with the Ripon Noon and Early Bird Kiwanis Club are excited to announce the grand opening of the All-Inclusive. Playground at Riggs County Park on Douglas Street. On Saturday, July 13 th , at 11am, the County and the Kiwanis Clubs will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new playground at Riggs Park, which features play equipment suitable for children of all abilities, with a poured, rubber safety surface. The playground is a new addition to Riggs Park, sitting adjacent to the Splash Pad; which was also a project of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis. 7/2/24 American Legion Honors Ripon Police Officer Trevor Hanke
Ripon American Legion Post #43 last night honored Ripon Police Officer Trevor Hanke with their Police Officer of the Year Award. Over the past 25 years Officer Hanke has handled three K9s for the department. He brought his latest K9 partner Rony with him to the American Legion Monday evening. Rony is retiring at the end of the year after 10 years with Officer Hanke. The German Shepherd is a dual purpose K9, trained in narcotics and patrol work.
