It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. Recruiting efforts in-state paying off for West Virginia
Under head coach Neal Brown, West Virginia has been known for keeping the state’s best at home and on the field and it has started to pay dividends. There are a few exceptions since inheriting the football program in January 2019 but for the most part, the program has been able to follow through on the promise he made when he was hired.
Big Man One-on-Ones from WVU's final one day camp
West Virginia University held their final one-day camp of the summer on Thursday, with just over one hundred prospects making their way to Morgantown to take part in the event. Among them were a couple dozen offensive and defensive linemen, several of which were receiving serious interest from the Mountaineers.
