CareFlight transports Gratis woman to hospital following stabbing

GRATIS, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was flown to the hospital after reportedly being stabbed in Preble County Monday.

Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson reports deputies and officers were sent around 11:53 a.m. on Aug. 26 to the first block of Parrish Drive in Gratis. Authorities were responding in reference to a “domestic situation.”

When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a 45-year-old woman who appeared to have been stabbed at the location. She was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with “critical injuries.”

A male resident at the scene was found, detained and taken into custody.
