OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – A Federal Grand Jury in Louisville returned five indictments charging 37 Defendants with Drug Trafficking and Firearms Offenses. Among those 37 defendants were 19 from Daviess County .

Authorities say one of the men charged, Timothy Roberts, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound last week during a standoff near Southtown Boulevard and Farmview Drive. Another man, Timothy Roach, was arrested in June while authorities searched for missing 8-month-old Ohio County Miya Rudd.

OPD says 34 of 37 are currently in custody, and they are working on the few remaining fugitives. Investigators say they seized around 30 firearms throughout the investigation and discovered over 250 pounds of methamphetamine.

    This is a developing story.
