Reading Pride Celebration announces Mayor Eddie Morán as Berks Pride Fest 2024 Grand Mashall
Reading Pride Celebration has announced the selection of Mayor Eddie Morán as Grand Marshall of the 18th Berks Pride Fest 2024. “Mayor Moran has been a true ally & Friend to Reading Pride and the LGBTQ+ community from his first day in office,” said Enrique Castro, Jr. Executive Director of Reading Pride Celebration (RPC).
Reading considers developing traffic-calming policy
READING, Pa. – The issue of traffic-calming was back on the agenda for Reading City Council's Committee of the Whole meeting Monday. Reading Public Works Director Timothy Krall reported to council about the status of the project. He noted that the city does not yet have a traffic-calming policy, but "it would be very good for the city to adopt [one] if the city wants to go in that direction." He continued, "It's not mandatory to have one, but it could be effective."
